If the answer is yes, then this could be the role for you. We are looking for a talented Consultant to join our team to work with us as we undertake complex process and outcomes evaluations on behalf of agencies representing New South Wales, Victorian and Federal Governments.  

  

Consultants at Inside Policy are critical research supports to project teams. Consultants participate in project teams, supporting Project Managers to successfully deliver projects within tight timeframes for Inside Policy’s clients. Consultants work across a number of projects that traverse a range of social policy areas, providing them with exposure to a breadth of research tasks and policy issues.

 

The Consultant is responsible for:

  • Supporting Senior Consultants and Project Managers in undertaking project-related research activities such as desktop research, administering surveys, data entry, transcription and drafting sections of reports.

  • Supporting project teams with the development of deliverables including drafting sections of reports.

  • Supporting business development activities including supporting the preparation of elements of proposals.

  • Supporting facilitators of consultation activity to scribe and minute discussions and outcomes.

  • Other tasks as directed by supervisor as required from time-to-time. 

 

The experience we are looking for:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

  • Strong verbal and written communication.

  • Organised and able to meet deadlines.

  • Self-starting, independent thinker.

  • Ability to work under broad supervision and in a team.

  • Ability to understand and apply analytical frameworks, models and techniques to projects when required.

  • Excellent research skills including the ability to: search and absorb content of journal articles; find information on policies and programs quickly; critically analyse the credibility of different data and information based on their source; identify and use appropriate search terms.

  • Ability to quickly acquire new knowledge across a range of policy areas.

  • Policy, program or service delivery experience in family violence, Indigenous economic development and/or disability services is desirable.

  • Excellent research skills including the ability to: search and absorb content of journal articles; find information on policies and programs quickly; critically analyse the credibility of different data and information based on their source; identify and use appropriate search terms.

  • Ability to quickly acquire new knowledge across a range of policy areas.

  • Policy, program or service delivery experience in family violence, Indigenous economic development and/or disability services is desirable.

 

Qualifications we’d like:

Bachelor’s degree or higher

 

Proposed salary:

$60,000 plus super.
